Koenraad “Koen” Weber is an extremely influential development geologist and reservoir engineer who worked with Royal Dutch Shell in The Hague. He was essential in advancing the integration of multiple disciplines in the primary and secondary development of many Royal Dutch fields globally. He published extensively on those techniques, which included the widespread use of outcrop studies as analogs, integration of cores with wireline logs, reservoir engineering, and flow units. More recently, Koen has taught at Delft University, training many geoscientists and engineers about the importance of integration of disciplines in petroleum geology. He is a recipient of the AAPG Sidney Powers Memorial Award.
